GPS PROOF · RAIL LOG
Proof you
actually rode it.
Train Net is a railway completion tracker where only GPS evidence counts. There are no manual check-offs. Only the lines you actually ride get painted onto your map.
Ride. Get off.
That’s the whole log.
Train Net infers the segments you rode from the GPS trace between start and stop. No picking lines, no ticking off stations.
Start before you board
Begin recording from the home screen. A Live Activity keeps the recording visible so you never forget it’s running.
Then just ride
Your trace is tracked automatically, with a battery-friendly design that handles long-distance trips.
Stop when you get off
Ridden segments are detected automatically. Parallel lines are told apart by stop patterns; tunnels and subways are bridged from the fixes around them.
A log that carries weight.
Because this map can't be painted by self-reporting, every line on it means something.
Only GPS counts
No manual check-offs. By accepting only rides you actually took, "I’ve ridden them all" finally means something.
Ride more, paint more
Every segment you ride is added to your rail map in color. The blank lines become your next destination.
Detection is automatic
No need to choose a line or station. High-speed rail, subways, long tunnels — segments are inferred from your trace.

Line and station data is built from OpenStreetMap and public transport open data (GTFS) from each country. Coverage may change with updates.
Recording stays free. Forever.
The core experience is never paywalled. Pro adds the tools for looking back deeper.
Pro plans (monthly, yearly, lifetime) and prices follow the listings in the app and on the App Store.
Frequently asked questions
Q1Can I check off rides manually?+
No. Train Net only accepts rides proven by a GPS trace, and past rides can't be painted in by hand. It may seem strict — but that's exactly what makes your completed map trustworthy.
Q2Does it work on subways and in tunnels?+
Yes. Where GPS can't reach, the ride is bridged from the fixes before and after, checked for consistency in time and distance along the same line. Long high-speed-rail tunnels are supported too.
Q3What if I forget to start recording?+
Missed rides can't be added afterwards — that's part of keeping the GPS-proof concept honest. Instead, the app works hard on prevention: a Live Activity keeps the recording state always visible.
Q4Is my raw GPS trace stored?+
No. Once your ride segments are determined, the raw trace is discarded. Only “which segments you rode” is kept, and your movements never leave the device. See the privacy policy for details.
Q5Do I need an account?+
No. Everything is stored on your device. With Pro's iCloud sync, data goes to your own private iCloud space — the developer never holds your data.
